Job Summary: Provides customer service to the machine shop floor allowing the manufacturing process to flow smoothly. Essential Job Functions: Maintains inventory of machine tooling and fixtures Prepares tooling and fixtures for machine se read more... -ups Issues tooling and fixtures to Machine Shop work centers Receives and stocks tooling and fixtures from internal/external sources Manages Machine Shop perishable tools, inventory and supplies Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team members Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: 1-3 years' experience in related position preferred Ability to operate hand trucks and manual machines Must have computer and technological skills Possess good organizational and time management skills Capable of effectively presenting information to internal and external groups Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form Must pass background check and drug screen Core Competencies: Ensures Accountability – Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments. Supervisory Responsibilities: No Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Work Environment: Warehouse environment Consistently elevated noise levels in work area PPE required in specific areas Physical Requirements: Continuous standing, stooping, kneeling and walking Repetitive use of hands Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
