Homero C. Castillo is the founder and owner of the Wireline Advisory Board (WLAB), a company that offers expert advisory and training services to help our clients eliminate risks and maximize outcomes.

Over 40 years working for Baker Hughes, Homero gained vast experience in the Wireline Services business. Having completed the Maintenance, Field Operations, Technical Support, Quality Systems, Wireline Training, Product Line Management and Global Product Support career paths while working in various locations worldwide, including Venezuela, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Norway, and the USA, he acquired a unique set of skills and knowledge that is highly sought after within the energy industry. Specializing in product line management, training, and service support, he has been responsible for developing several wireline logging services that companies now use worldwide. The most relevant achievements are his ability to work in various oilfield environments and management of the development and commercialization of Deployment Risk Management Technologies and several wireline logging services, such as EARTH Imager, GeoExplorer, Ultrasonic Explorer, PowerCOR, MaxCOR, and Well Geometry Instrument.

Homero has been an SPE member since 2001 and has served as a Committee Member of the Intervention and Coiled Tubing Association Conference, and a Technical Session Chair for five years. Homero is an inventor in nineteen US patents and has authored twelve technical papers and articles for the industry.
